Object Oz Painting Workshop

Adam Dunn Spray Art Workshop
Object Oz is a painting workshop like no other. Like award winning artist Stanley Abnes’ other art classes, this session is held in an informal, encouraging environment.

It is designed to be fun for all and is just sociable as it is informative and educational. So whether you are a budding artist looking to refine your painting skill or just art-curious, Stanley invites you to have a great time painting your favourite Wizard of Oz character.

Stanley Abnes has been painting for over 30 years and is versatile in oils, acrylics and water colours. He is also a trained model maker and has worked independently on the construction of the Bahrain Skating Rink (1982) and with Keith Day in constructing the replica of the famous Dome Stadium, Canada (1985). Stanley is a skilled Styrofoam designer known for his creative backdrops. He was Art Director for the Bramlea Baptist Church, Ontario for three years and has won many awards. He is delighted to share his expertise with budding artists at The Wizard of Oz Festival.

The Wizard of Oz Funland

The Wizard of Oz Funland is a unique, first-of-its-kind centre in Australia that was started:
- To provide a very interactive, vibrant, creative and fun indoor space that could engage the whole family at rates affordable to the larger community;
- To provide both performance & educational opportunities to local talent;
- To develop into a useful, moving community hub.
The Funland is home of The Wizard of Oz Show that has done over 3500 performances worldwide and was honoured with strong endorsements by the Baum family & last living Munchkins in America.

The Funland was set up by the Laul family as an extension of their work among the community. Apart from being a popular play and party centre, it has grown into a hive of local community participation with a large multicultural agenda. It proudly supports 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer.
